Rediscover the museum’s permanent exhibition in five new video stations. Seven Burgdorf residents with and without a history of migration share their views on the themes of the “Cabinets of Curiosities” and invite you to playfully find out which “Curiosity Type” you are.
Many Voices – One World
Over the course of a year, the museum invited a group of Burgdorf residents to contribute their perspectives to the museum’s permanent exhibition “Cabinets of Curiosities.” The seven people were born and raised in Burgdorf or have moved here. They work in a civil servant, are doing a doctorate or are retired. They regularly attend cultural events or have never been to the museum. They speak the Bernese German dialect, Persian, Spanish and Ukrainian.
They have worked intensively on the themes of the Cabinets of Curiosities “Power,” “Color,” “Origins,” and “Journeys” and recorded their thoughts in short videos. On the “Curiosity Tour” through the museum, visitors can discover these videos at five stations. Each station is coordinated with the corresponding Cabinet of Curiosities and allows visitors to look at the museum objects with new eyes. Find out which Curiosity Type you are!
