Our rooms

At the Burgdorf Castle Youth Hostel, you will literally spend the night at the museum. Each room is dedicated to a topic from the castle’s history, bringing it to life. You can learn how people used to bathe, what happened in the Burgdorf city fire or what autumn used to be like in the valley.

From double rooms to six-bed rooms as standard

The youth hostel is open all year round and has 115 beds. It offers double, family and shared rooms with four or six beds. Guests who have checked in have 24-hour access to their accommodation. The following rooms are available as standard:

  • 1 single room with shower/toilet
  • 13 double rooms with shower/toilet
  • 5 family rooms (four beds) with shower/toilet
  • 2 four-bed rooms with sink
  • 10 six-bed rooms with sink and a shared shower/toilet for the floor, of which five rooms have triple bunk beds
  • Breakfast buffet and museum entry are included in the price
  • All the rooms have a unique design

Prices per night for families:

  • Children aged 1 and under: free
  • Children aged 2–5: CHF 15 including breakfast and museum entry
  • Children aged 6–12: CHF 28 including breakfast and museum entry

Exceptions:

  • Children’s prices do not apply for double rooms.
  • Discounts cannot be applied to children’s prices.
