A noble place to say ‘I do’
On selected dates, official marriage or civil partnership ceremonies can be held in the ceremony room with 17th century murals and a view over Burgdorf and the Emmental valley. The chapel with 14th century frescos is available for short public ceremonies.
The castle courtyard or tower garden is the perfect place for guests to raise a glass afterwards at a drinks reception. And you won’t have to share the big day with another couple – your wedding won’t overlap with anyone else’s.

The following times are considered a half-day: 8 am – 12 noon, 1 – 5 pm or 6 – 10:30 pm. The castle also offers various areas and spaces that are perfect for a drinks reception. If the weather is nice, we can also host your reception in the castle courtyard or on the castle terrace under the old lime tree. Our on-site team is happy to advise you and help you choose the perfect space for your event. From welcome drinks to a knightly feast or wedding meal, our kitchen will prepare a tailored menu made from fresh, local ingredients.
