On the essence of things

With the current project “On the Essence of Things”, Burgdorf Castle Museum is working on making diverse perspectives visible in the museum’s exhibitions. This is being done together with a diversely composed concept and project group from 2023 to 2025.

“The essence of things has a habit of hiding itself” is how Heraclitus (around 500 BC) greeted visitors to Burgdorf Castle Museum. With the project “On the Essence of Things”, the museum, together with various representatives from the migration society, wants to explore different perspectives on the exhibition themes and objects and bring them to light and to new audiences as polyphonic narratives with events and a new video tour.
